Peppi Elona's work explores the abstract through the unusual use of fragmented color and expressive line to define pictorial space.  Her work uses her emotion, imagination and intuition to guide her choice of subject matter.    Ms. Elona most often developes figurative subjects.  The figures are not portraits but archtypes, female symbols for various stages of life.  The artist explores not only the soul of her figurative subjects but their relationship and her fascination and wonder of Mother Nature's creations.
